Scientific program
For ISMB 2006 we are preparing, in addition
to the traditional areas of interest, four exciting new
sessions:
New frontiers
PLoS: Bridging the Scales
Latin American Bioinformatics
Late Breaking Research.
For the first time, at ISMB 2006, we will
have Nobel Laureate keynote talks, adding to the Conference's
interdisciplinary character.
ISMB 2006 will bring together scientists from
molecular biology, medicine, computer science, mathematics
and statistics. The scope of the conference encompasses
the development and application of advanced computational
methods for biological problems, at organizational levels
ranging from sequences to
cells, organs, and organisms (and this year, the Conference
will especially focus on bridging biological scales and
address issues related to higher levels of organization,
such as the environment).
The conference will feature original refereed
papers, which will be published in Bioinformatics, the highest
impact journal in the field, and indexed in Medline, ISI,
and other bibliographic databases. As in previous years,
there will also be tutorials, posters, software demonstrations,
and an exhibition of hardware and software vendors.
Make your plans now to join us and also participate
at the newest addition to the ISMB program: the tropical
flavor of life.
