A landmark of the city of Fortaleza, this Fort was created in 1649, originally with the dutch name of 'Schoonemborck' – renamed by the Portuguese in 1655. Reconstructed in 1816, today it is a Military Headquarters. Open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays. Situated in Alberto Nepomuceno Avenue, Center.
