This square dates back to 1877. The bronze lions that decorate it were brought over from Paris, at the beginning of the 20th century. Together with the Church "Nossa Senhora do Rosário", the "Palácio da Luz" and the old Provincial Assembly it forms part of an important set architectural sites. Situated in the Center.
