Accepted Paper (Final Version) Submission
Deadline |
|
Papers will be assigned to an Area Chair and three reviews
sought. If accepted, papers will be published as the conference
proceedings in an open access, online-only, section of a regular
issue of the Bioinformatics journal with CDs available
for conference delegates. The proceedings will be available
on-line approximately one month prior to the conference opening.
Publication of the Proceedings as an online part of the journal
would result in fully citable articles, indexed by Medline
and ISI. See the online-only Methods section of Nucleic Acids
Research – http://nar.oxfordjournals.org/current.dtl
– for an example of online-only publication by Oxford.
Presenters of accepted papers will be given a 20-minute slot
(plus 5 minutes for questions) in the conference schedule
to provide a summary and update to the work.
Templates are available (see below) however it is
not necessary to use these except for a final submission after
acceptance. For review purposes it is only necessary for submitted
papers to include an abstract of not more than 250 words and
be no more than 10 pages (single space, 10 point, either one
or two columns) in length, including abstract, figures, tables,
and bibliography. Supplemental material will be allowed for
accepted papers but should NOT be submitted as part of the
initial submission.
Papers will only be accepted electronically at the
submission site in either Postscript or PDF format.
The submission site will be available from January 13,
2006.
Papers submitted for review should represent original, previously
unpublished work. At the time the paper is submitted to ISMB
2006, and for the entire review period, the paper should not
be under review by any other conference or scientific journal.
The deadline for ISMB 2006 paper submissions is Wednesday,
March 1, 2006. (You have until 11.59 p.m. in the
time zone of your choice).
Submissions will be reviewed by three members of the Program
Committee. Notification of acceptance will be given by Tuesday,
April 18, 2006. Final, corrected versions of accepted
papers, which must conform to the formatting guidelines available
when the paper is accepted, are due no later than Wednesday,
May 10, 2006. Details of the submission process and
format of accepted papers will be provided at the time of
paper acceptance. Papers not accepted may be resubmitted as
a poster by May 1, 2006.
For questions concerning the scientific content of submissions
please contact one of the program chairs: Søren
Brunak or Philip Bourne.

LaTeX style sheets use proprietary fonts, you will see
many non-fatal warnings when you compile your document.
In our experience, you may safely ignore these font-related
warnings. If you use bibtex, please use bibliography
style plain.
